Schreyer Ambassador Travel Grants
The Schreyer Ambassador Travel Grant (SATG) Program is entering its tenth year, during which time we have funded approximately 1500 international experiences by Schreyer Scholars. It is, by far, the largest program of its kind in the country, and we wish to guarantee its fiscal stability for coming years even as airfares rise along with Scholars’ interest in going abroad. These include:
• Maximum reimbursement levels according to destination and program
duration
• Firm deadlines
• $300 maximum grant for short-term non-honors programs
Note new deadlines:
November 1: Spring travel grant applications
April 1: Summer travel grant applications
August 1: Fall travel grant applications (except for new fall-entering Scholars)

If you miss the deadline, we cannot guarantee any funding!
Special note about financial need: The SATG program does not have a financial need component. If you believe that you have substantial “unmet need” according to Penn State’s official calculations (based on the FAFSA), please check the appropriate box on the SATG application form. We will evaluate your case, and if we have any additional funding available, we will do our best to provide extra assistance. These funds are strictly limited, so we cannot guarantee any funding above the usual level.
