Step 5: Medals Ceremony Information and Schedule

The Schreyer Honors College holds a special ceremony at the end of each semester (fall, spring, and summer) to honor graduating Schreyer Scholars. At the ceremony, graduates are presented with the Scholars medal, created by metallist John A. Cook, professor emiritus of art in the College of Arts and Architecture. The medal is engraved with the phrases "Scholarly Achievement," "Integrity of Purpose," and "Intellectual Curiosity."

Academic regalia (cap and gown) is required for the Medals Ceremony, and can be purchased at the the Student Book Store.

Medals Ceremony Schedule

Summer 2007: Friday, August 17, 2007; Nittany Lion Inn at 5:00 p.m.

Fall 2007: Friday, December 21, 2007; Penn Stater Conference Center and Hotel at 4:00 p.m.

Spring 2008: Friday, May 16, 2008; Eisenhower Auditorium at 5:00 p.m.

Summer 2008: Friday, August 15, 2008; Penn State Conference Center and Hotel at 5:00 p.m.

Fall 2008: Friday, December 19, 2008; at Penn State Conference Center and Hotel at 5:00 p.m.
