“I love the feeling of helping out others because we all have needed or will need help at some point in our lives.”

“Volunteer” is one way to describe junior finance major Simran Grover. But in her years of charitable service, she has also been a teacher, a leader, a friend, and recently, an award-winner. “Starting GlobeMed has definitely been my most rewarding college experience by far just because it allows for such a wide range of activities and knowledge.”

When Liz Francis vowed to one day save people’s lives, she did not realize that one day could be right now. Since establishing a Penn State chapter for GlobeMed in 2006, the senior Premedical and Spanish dual major has traveled to Honduras to help improve the well-being of the country’s residents.
